Bereavement leave for staff in the education sector will now be aligned with that in other areas of the public sector.
This agreement will see existing leave for staff extended to 20 days in relation to the death of a spouse/partner or child.
TUI members, through Annual Congress, sought the extension of this leave and the Union has campaigned for it through all available fora for all the grades represented by the Union.
