Creative Connections, an Exhibition of Contemporary Zambian Visual Art

All welcome  - Teachers are welcome to bring groups of students

This exciting exhibition brings the work of three leading Zambian visual artists, Patrick Mumba, Mulenga Chafilwa and Mwamba Mulangala, to Dublin for the first time.

Patrick Mumba’s vibrant, powerful paintings reflect his current focus on the plight of refugees the world over, and especially refugees from the Congo. Mulenga Chafilwa is fascinated by everyday people going about their daily exploits of “just making life work”. Mwamba Mulangala is interested in the fight for access to equal opportunities, peace and conflict resolution, political retribution.

This exhibition is supported by the Embassy of Ireland in Zambia. It is part of an ongoing partnership project between Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka and Ballyfermot College of Further Education to support the development of innovative education programmes in the creative arts sector in Zambia and to develop deeper links between the creative arts sector in Zambia and Ireland.
