TUI has published a simple guide to inspections as encountered at second-level in Ireland. It is not intended to be an exhaustive study as inspections and how schools experience them can be as varied as the schools/centres inspected and the inspectors who carry out the visits.
Areas covered in the guide include the role of the Inspectorate, types of inspection, recent changes in inspections, the aim of inspections, what happens during inspections and how the Inspectorate quality assures its service.
