The TUI fully supports Fórsa’s ongoing campaign to secure public service pay and conditions for grant funded school secretaries and caretakers.
As part of this campaign, a day’s strike action is due to take place next Wednesday, 15th September 2021. In addition, Fórsa members will also be picketing Government Buildings and attending a strike rally outside the Dáil from 12-2pm.
No TUI member should undertake the work of a school secretary who is on strike. Fórsa have notified TUI that where a caretaker is taking strike action it may be necessary for other staff to open or close school buildings.
TUI members are encouraged to show their solidarity and support for their striking colleagues on the day.
