This supplement was developed by the Calculated Grades Executive Office and provides additional guidance to schools on matters that have been brought to the Department’s attention since the publication of the guide last Thursday. It deals with three issues:
- Further guidance of the avoidance of unconscious bias
- Interpreting evidence of achievement in the case of students with disabilities
- Further guidance on bonus marks that would have applied for answering the written examinations through Irish
The DES is sending the supplement to Principal teachers this morning, with a request that it be forwarded to all teachers involved in the Calculated Grades process.
