Important! NCCA consultations - Tranche 3 and Tranche 4 Senior Cycle Subjects

The TUI would like to inform members that the NCCA recently launched the next range of consultation processes on curricular developments, in particular the Senior Cycle Tranche 3 Computer Science draft specification as well as Tranche 4 subject background papers. 

The TUI strongly encourages members to get involved in such consultation processes as it is very important that the teacher voice is clearly heard. 

It is important that members give their views to the NCCA on all issues relating to the draft specifications including, but not limited to, course size, assessment modalities and overall feasibility.  
 

As well as the draft specification for Tranche 3 Computer Science, the Tranche 4 subjects under consideration in this phase of consultation are:

• Art
• Economics
• Gaeilge
• Modern Foreign Languages
• Geography
• Politics and Society
• Technology

The consultation process is open until mid to late November depending on subject.
