The TUI was delighted to offer a sincere thank you to some of our retired members who generously donated €8161.14 to the TUI Global Development Fund.
The Global Development Fund is a TUI fund that supports educational, developmental, and trade union projects in developing or underdeveloped countries, with projects approved by the union’s Executive Committee.
The monies donated were originally collected by retired members who were seeking to lobby and campaign against FEMPI pension reductions. As that issue has now concluded, Tom Fennell (TUI RMA Executive Member) and Paddy Healy (a former President of the TUI) generously donated the funds collected to the Global Development Fund.
The TUI will continue to engage with Tom and Paddy and seek their opinions and endorsements for projects where the money can be put to good use.
A number of former colleagues of both Tom and Paddy were delighted to attend the presentation on the day.
