Changes to vaccination rollout programme

TUI notes today’s announcement of changes to the national vaccination rollout programme. Specifically, from next Monday, 5th July, individuals aged between 18 and 34 can begin to access the Johnson and Johnson vaccine in pharmacies, while in addition, from Friday, 9th July, those aged between 30 and 34 can begin to register at Vaccine.hse.ie for an mRNA vaccine.

Together with our sister unions the INTO and the ASTI, TUI wrote last week to the Taoiseach, Minister Foley, Minister Donnelly, NPHET, NIAC and the HSE to emphasise the need for school staff to be vaccinated as a matter of urgency.

Click here to listen back to TUI General Secretary Michael Gillespie discuss the vital importance of the vaccination of teachers in ensuring the consistent provision of teaching and learning in the next academic year on RTE Radio 1’s Saturday with Justin McCarthy programme last weekend.

Any further updates will be posted on this website.
