TUI has been asked by Tusla to bring the following secondment opportunities to the attention of members.
‘As you are aware Tusla is charged with developing a single strategic approach, reflecting equally the nature and strengths of each of our Educational Welfare Services, HSCL, SCP and EWS (statutory), to address school attendance, participation and retention. In close cooperation with Tusla and by way of supporting DEIS Schools, the Department of Education and Skills sanctions secondments to the Senior Management Team of the EWS.
Applications are currently sought for three Tusla EWS Integrated Services Managers (Secondment) to support the delivery and practice of the service in the Mid-West/South, South East/ Midlands and West/North West regions. Applications will be accepted from Primary and Post Primary principals/teachers who currently hold full time posts in recognised schools and are registered with the Teaching Council in accordance with Sections 30 & 31 of the Teaching Council Act, 2001.
The appointment will be on a secondment basis for the school year 2018-2019 with potential to extend to a maximum of five years. Candidates must be eligible for full-time secondment as per Circular Letter 0029/2018.
We would encourage Principals, Deputy Principals, HSCL Coordinators or teachers with managerial experience to apply.
