Job-sharing is the sharing of a wholetime teaching post between two permanent teachers/lecturers or, one permanent teacher/lecturer and one or more teachers/lecturers engaged to teach the remaining 11 hours in a Temporary Whole-Time, Pro-Rata Contract, or part-time capacity.
The second level scheme is set out in Circular Letter 0054/2019 - 'Leave Schemes for Registered Teachers Employed in Recognised Primary and Post Primary Schools.' The section on the Job-Sharing Scheme begins on p.109 of the document.
Pleae note that the latest date of application for the scheme for teachers who wish to job-share is February 1st of the previous school year.
