Junior Cycle English was the first subject to change within the new Junior Cycle. As each subject is completed by one full cohort of students, an interim review of the subject specification and related assessments will be carried out by the NCCA.
It was confirmed at the Junior Cycle Implementation Committee meeting yesterday that all teachers of English can participate in the review of Junior Cycle English by completing a survey available on juniorcycle.ie.
The consultation to gather feedback from English teachers and students is now open and will close on 20th December. A template for written feedback is available – link as follows:

TUI would encourage every teacher of English to complete and return the survey questionnaire. It is important that the review be fully informed by the experience and understanding of practicing teachers.
