LEAVE

Book outlining most schemes of leave for teachers replaces the relevant circular letters

In September 2016, Terms & Conditions of Employment for Registered Teachers in Recognised Primary and Post Primary Schools (Department of Education and Skills - September 2016) was published. The book was prepared by the Department to provide an easy to access reference document for teachers seeking to establish their entitlements and supersedes all previous circulars and memoranda on the leave types contained within.

School managerial authorities and ETB chief executives were asked to ensure that the contents of the book were brought to the attention of all teachers in their employment, including those on leave of absence.

Click here to download the 78 page document. The contents page (p.2) is hyperlinked for ease of access to the various chapters. Details of circular letters related to leave schemes not covered by the book are set out further down this page.
