Following further discussions between representatives of the ASTI and TUI and the Department of Education and Skills over recent weeks, both sides signed off on a document on time and workload issues that arise in the context of the implementation of the revised Junior Cycle proposals.
This document, together with the Joint Statement on Principles and Implementation, which was agreed in May, will be balloted on by teachers in September.
The executive bodies of the ASTI and the TUI will meet in late August to further discuss the respective ballots.
