TUI President, Joanne Irwin, has wished students the best of luck in the State Exams.

She advised students to keep the exams in perspective.  "Without doubt the state exams are important and mark a significant transition for students, particularly for those doing the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied.  However, you are not defined as a person  by exam results and while the desired results can open doors for you, there is a wide range of alternative routes that are available to assist you in reaching your choice of career. Therefore, give the exams your best effort making sure that you get plenty of rest along the way and that you don’t get unnecessarily stressed.

I want to also acknowledge, in particular, the singular success that returning adult learners and international students whose family language is not English have already achieved in arriving at this juncture."
