TUI eLearning Seminar

Draft Admissions to School Bill 2103 and Draft Regulations - An Important  Development

TUI eLEARNING SEMINAR,
SATURDAY, 23rd NOVEMBER IN GRESHAM HOTEL, O’CONNELL STREET, DUBLIN

This seminar has been organised in response to discussions at and requests from the TUI Colleges’ Advisory Committee,  Colleges’ Sub-Committee and Executive Committee.

Its purpose is to consider current practice and developments in  elearning  and the issues the union needs to consider and address for its members e.g. professional issues, pedagogical issues, changing work demands and workload implications, general working conditions and job displacement .

In particular, the seminar aims to identify what strategy and response the union should design to protect jobs, overall conditions of service and quality provision.  To this end  it will include expert inputs from practitioners and working sessions to enable dialogue among seminar participants.

Click here for the draft agenda for the seminar.

We hope to have strong representation from each branch ( at least 5 and more if possible) and an overall attendance of about 70/80.  If your college or branch has not yet nominated people to attend please do so by Thursday ( 21st November) evening in order that we can make final arrangements.  Individual members can also register. Please contact you branch to seek support with travel and subsistence costs incurred.

Please send details of nominees to Sandra at showard@tui.ie.
