The survey wishes to capture the nature of guidance and counselling provision in schools and to provide a snapshot of any changes over the last 2 years since the ‘ex quota’ status has been removed. It is been conducted in the following ETB areas: County/City Dublin ETB, Kerry ETB, Limerick ETB, and C&C schools in these geographical areas. Others wishing to complete can select the 'other' option at Question 1.

Please note that all information provided will be treated in a confidential manner. Individual school details will not be published and the data gathered will be collated to ascertain the level of provision within an Education and Training Board (ETB) or group of schools in the C&C sector.

When completing this survey, it will be helpful to have a copy of the relevant timetables for academic year 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. If there is more than one Guidance Counsellor involved in the provision of the service please collate information for the whole school. Submit one return only as more than one return may lead to inaccurate data. A pdf version of this survey may be downloaded prior to completing survey monkey.

The survey will be open until the 18th March.
