The pressure frequent school book edition changes puts on parents is causing more and more hardship, particularly at second level.  SVP is campaigning for an end to the frequent changes in school books and for better funding for book rental schemes.  They have set up an online petition asking people to support their call.  Click on www.svp.ie/books and sign up - the charity has a meeting planned soon with the Minister so lots of signatures are needed.
