The teacher unions - the TUI and the ASTI - attended a meeting this afternoon with Dr Pauric Travers. Officials from the Department of Education and Skills were also present.
The teacher unions received clarifications on a number of issues arising from a draft document issued by Dr Pauric Travers last week.
Some issues have yet to be clarified by the Department. We also await answers to further questions put by the unions to the Department.
The TUI Executive Committee and ASTI Standing Committee will hold a joint meeting on Friday, February 27th to consider the current situation.
