PRE-RETIREMENT TRAINING
Clayton Hotel, Galway (Seminar Over 1 1/2 Days)
Thursday 26th and Friday 27th January, 2012

The TUI is running a ‘Pre-Retirement Training’ seminar in the Clayton Hotel, Galway on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th January, 2012.

The seminar will commence on Thursday evening, 26th January, with registration at 5:00pm and will conclude at 8:00pm after which a buffet supper will be provided. On Friday the seminar will commence at 9:00am and will conclude at approx. 3:30pm.

There is no explicit provision for Substitution Cover for teachers attending Professional Development/Pre-Retirement seminars. It is the TUI position that such attendance can reasonably be categorised as absence from school on school-approved activity. This is however a matter for local management to decide. In the vast majority of schools, it has been the practice to facilitate attendance at Pre-Retirement seminars on this basis. You should therefore approach local management if you wish to attend this TUI organised Pre-Retirement seminar.
