The Executive Committee of the Teachers’ Union of Ireland (TUI) this evening decided at an emergency meeting in Dublin to defer strike action scheduled for Thursday December 3rd.
The union believes that sufficient progress has been made in discussions to warrant deferral of the scheduled strike action.
TUI is engaged in discussions as part of the trade union movement with Government and talks will continue tomorrow (Wednesday).
