Leaving Certificate Applied Programme
●
Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme
●

●
Junior Certificate Schools Programme
These posts will not form part of the normal cohort of school posts and will lapse when none of the Programmes, as listed above, are being provided within the school. The posts will be the subject of special competition amongst eligible staff in the school.
The posts will be at Special Duties Teacher level for schools up to 100 pupils on the programmes mentioned and at Assistant Principal level where the number of pupils is 100 or more.
The post holders are entitled to an hours reduction as set out below:
No. of Pupils Hours Reduction per week
1-59 2
60-99 3
100-139 4
> 140 6
In many schools, the agreement has not been implemented to date due to a dispute by the IMPACT Trade Union. That dispute is now over.
The Executive Committee has decided that where these posts are filled or where they fall to be filled, Principals are directed to implement the agreement in full and apply the reduction in hours as appropriate to the post holders.
